Terms of service
These terms of service are the agreement between you and CloudDesk Desktop for the use of this website and the CloudDesk Desktop desktop app. By creating an account, installing the app or using the service you accept these terms.
Your account
You need an account to use most of the service. Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you do.
Acceptable use
- Use the service only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms.
- Do not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or the systems behind it.
- Do not upload content you have no right to share, or content that is unlawful, harmful or infringes someone else's rights.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create with CloudDesk Desktop. You give us the permission we need to store, back up and display it so the service works for you. We do not claim any other right to it.
The software
The desktop app is licensed to you, not sold, for use on devices you control. Updates may install automatically to keep the app secure; you can turn that off in the app's settings where the product offers the choice. The app, its design and its code remain the property of CloudDesk Desktop and its licensors.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and to give notice of planned maintenance, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or discontinue features; where a change is material we will tell you in advance and, if you disagree, you may stop using the service and ask us to delete your data.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, CloudDesk Desktop is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why unless the law prevents it. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content, liability, governing law) continue to apply.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where CloudDesk Desktop is established, and disputes go to the courts of that country unless mandatory consumer law gives you a different forum. The privacy policy explains how we handle your data; if the two documents conflict, the privacy policy wins for privacy matters.
